approach

When you give yourself a chance to consider what is important to you and what feels right, it is exciting to see how sustainable change can happen.

Together we look at your fitness goals through the integrative health lens, including exercise, nutrition, sleep, work, environment, and all aspects of your lifestyle, because of course health and fitness are more than exercise alone.

Assessment & Consultation

The first step is establishing where you are starting from, so your program begins with assessment and goals discussion, which can happen in-person or virtually.

What follows is unique to you, and will include some combination of: your own personal fitness program delivered via CoachRx, an app that facilitates daily communication, consistent in-person or virtual check-ins to ensure alignment with your evolving goals, health coaching sessions to partner in establishing lifestyle changes to attain your health goal, and/or in-person fitness coaching sessions to learn new exercises or for in-person feedback.

exercise

Your individual fitness program draws upon principles of resistance training — including body-weight exercises, weightlifting, and bodybuilding — aerobic and cardiovascular conditioning, as well as mobility and range of motion exercises. Workouts are designed based on your starting point, your goals, and your approach to exercise outside the gym.

NUTRITION

How we eat is extremely personal — biologically, culturally and emotionally. We work together to determine the nutritional approach that is right for you, with the backing of the science that is available.  There is no single solution and everyone is different. I provide resources, support and accountability, which makes all the difference in sticking with straightforward nutritional adjustments. Above all, my aim is to keep things simple and aligned with your goals.

LIFESTYLE

How you live -- such as your routine, livelihood, sleep -- is vital to the effectiveness of your health plan.  Just like the old saying “you can't out-train bad habits,” the only way to make the most out of your time spent exercising is to carry that spirit of wellness through to the rest of your life. Together, we consider lifestyle adjustments that would make what you are already doing more in-line with where you want to be and how you want to feel.
